Why I Make a Pinterest Vision Board Every Month

People often ask me about my manifestation and mental health coping techniques, so I wanted to share something I do every month- creating a monthly vision board on Pinterest. In this post I will share:

  • Why Do I make Monthly Vision Boards?
  • What is my Process?
  • What I’ve Learned
  • Other methods you can make your vision board
why?

My mental health is so unpredictable that it’s not always easy to know when or how to pull myself out of a spiral. Something I’ve been doing for, oh goodness, about a year now is making these Pinterest vision boards. I’ve noticed that when I am in a bad state of mind, having some sort of visual reminder of my goals to focus on is one of the most helpful things for me. This definitely does not work for everyone but it has for me so I figure, why not share?

What is my process?

Each month I have a similar format for my Pinterest board– I create a new board with the month and year and then create sections labeled mood board, mindset, and soul. (edit- I also recently started including a manifest section). Sometimes I switch around or add new sections, but this is my most common formatting for it.

From there, the sections are pretty self-explanatory. Here’s my board from this month and the sections-

Mood

Different aesthetics + photos I like throughout the month that motivate me (like I said, visual learner here so this helps a lot)

Mindset

Usually daily routine ideas, physical and mental health resources, and daily quotes

Soul

I am obsessed with poetry, so usually my ‘soul’ board is filled with poetry and different photos that make me think or instantly give me a serotonin boost

what I’ve learned
  • I found that having some sort of new planning to do at the beginning of each month as well as consistent journaling has been really helpful to help me reset
  • Importance of surrounding myself around my goals and good energy. In a way, this is a type of manifestation to keep my goals and attitude in check throughout the month. Without this, it’s much harder for me to remember my goals.
  • Having a place to come back to when ‘stuck’- when I’m having a bad mental health day, having something that has already been made to keep me in a good mood helps SO much!
Other Methods (besides Pinterest) To Make Your Vision Board

I am obsessed with Pinterest, but I know not everyone likes it so I wanted to include another option. Another way I make vision boards is by writing instead of pictures. I suggest doing this with this planner, which provides you with prompts and an online course to manifest a life you love! If you can’t afford a new notebook, here’s my favorite method for journaling. This is a wonderful other option and I highly recommend it.
